Architect Tim Fouch and his rescue pitbull, Romeo

Material Plans was started by architect + furniture maker Timothy Fouch to bridge the gap between architects and people interested in doing their own small projects.

Located in Portland, Oregon, he and his small team focus on creating poetic spaces grounded in current building science and crafting timeless furniture with natural materials. The work is authentic and heartfelt.

Seeing a gap in quality plan sets available to the homeowner, Tim’s latest undertaking is a collection of outdoor sauna plans for the competent DIYer. These digital building guides allows you to easily build your own modern sauna cabin without the cost and lengthy process of hiring an architect.

Tim is in the studio almost every day, creating and designing. If you'd like to talk about a project, collaboration, new furniture, architecture or interior work, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

A registered architect, engineer and experienced fabricator, Tim is also a loving foster dog dad to Romeo (pictured) . His award winning architecture can be found in places like Dwell and Modern Farmer, and his furniture can be found in homes and offices throughout Europe and North America.
